Caring, concern and open-mindedness can help build stronger, meaningful relationships and help to navigate the complexities of life. My focus is on understanding you and a genuine desire to help.
Hi, I’m Jessica.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Connecticut and Florida as well as a Certified School Social Worker in Connecticut. I earned my master’s degree in clinical social work and school social work from The University of Chicago and was trained in Systems Theory. This theory proposes that individuals do not operate in isolation, but are influenced by the relationships, groups, communities and environments of which they are a part.
Additionally, I prioritize my own advanced training and continuing education which enhances my clinical skills, and deepens my personal and professional growth.
I’m happy to offer in-person sessions in Westport, Connecticut, and HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions throughout Connecticut and Florida.
The good news is “struggling does not mean you are failing” and at the end of the day, the most rewarding journeys are the ones where you discover the answers yourself.
“If you want to make real and lasting improvements in your life, you need to be open, and have the willingness to change”.
Are you ready to do those two things? If so, real healing is not only possible – it’s around the corner.
As a committed professional in the field, I maintain active membership in respected organizations that uphold high standards of practice and ethical responsibility. I am affiliated with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), a leading organization dedicated to advancing the quality and effectiveness of social work practice.
I am also a member of EMDRIA (EMDR International Association), a globally recognized organization that promotes excellence in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy through education, research, and professional standards.
The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is the largest membership organization of professional social workers. NASW works to enhance the growth and development of our members, to create and maintain professional standards for all social workers, and to advance sound social policies.
Caring, concern and open-mindedness can help build stronger, meaningful relationships and help to navigate the complexities of life. My focus is on understanding you and a genuine desire to help.
I love the discovery of what makes you unique and special, what makes you tick! I approach every session with a sense of curiosity and wonder, an eagerness to learn more about you and your life story.
We are constantly learning and evolving with accepting that perfection is not the end goal. The best part of our learning and growth is gently accepting our mistakes and using what we have learned for the next time.
It’s my intention to be present, responsive and real. In our sessions, you’ll get the “heartfelt genuine me”. I encourage you to be vulnerable and share your true self with me. After all, authenticity and transparency are the keys to meaningful change!
